.wellness case competition 2019.

In 2019, I competed in the University of Connecticut's Innovate Wellness Challenge. The university wide case competition began with around a hundred submissions from diverse group's of students. The challenge asked students to create a proposal for improving health and wellness on campus and asked that teams present their case through three rounds of judging. My team, "The Sunshine Initiative," created a plan to install benches, picnic tables and swings in high traffic areas around campus to reduce stress and increase activity amongst students.

My group set out to research the ideal locations to propose the installation of outdoor gathering spaces for students. We conducted survey research to support the need for more outdoor gathering spaces. Our study showed that these spaces would support the need to increase student physical activity, safe spaces to meet new people as well as more time in the sun!
